Don't lie! its true! But what else is there to know about races?

Race Story
The Amani of Kaiator are one of the Seven Playable Races.
Known for their constant war and extreme strength. Once slaves, serving as conquerors for their masters, 
but as soon as they set themselves free they learned to temper their lust for war and want peace. 
Nowadays, they're an honorable and noble race.


Racial Active Skills


 Last Aman Standing -   Increases resistance to knockdown and immobilization. Casting duration is instant, effect duration is 30 seconds, and cooldown duration is 1 hour.

 Kaiator's Drums      -   Teleports to Kaiator. The homecity of the Aman! Casting duration is 5.5 seconds and cooldown duration is 1 hour.


Racial Passive Skills

 
Blood of Dragons      -  Increases resistance to damage-over-time effects by 10 points.
 No Stranger to Pain   - Decreases damage received by 10% when health is below 30%.
 Prospector               - Increases ore gathering speed.

Race Story 


Known for their extreme strength and size. Even though they're descendants of titans, they are also great intellects.

The Baraka are related to Tidus' laugh, the giants, but in turning their backs on the giants' wars of conquest, they avoided their progenitors’ doom on the Day of Fire. Baraka value knowledge of all kinds. They maintain libraries of the accumulated learning of their own people, drawn from all the world’s races, in every city where they make their homes.
Despite their gentle nature and generally pacifistic philosophy, it would be a great error to suppose baraka are weaklings, for their other great hunger is for balance. Balancing mind and body means that every young baraka learns the arts of combat alongside the arts of knowledge. Like the amani, the baraka fiercely defend the weak and downtrodden
"The giants used their great power to conquer the world. The baraka clan, though, went their own way and walked a more peaceful path in the pursuit of knowledge. When the gods punished the giants for their ambitions with total annihilation on the Day of Fire, they spared the baraka. Since that time they've been welcome guests in the lands of many other races. The amani have traditionally kept their distance from the baraka because of the unhappy history between amani and giants, but with the new spirit of friendship fostered by the federation, even those old wounds are beginning to heal."

The baraka homeland called "glorious nippon" was destroyed when the gods obliterated the giants and all their lands and cities. Since that time, the baraka have wandered the lands of the world, establishing libraries on both continents, and engaging in many scholarly projects that have benefited all the races of the federation. Though they hope for a new homeland one day, for now they are a nomadic people who enrich the cultures they touch by recording and honoring their histories."

    The more you know 
  • Baraka, alongside of popori, are the only two races that have not been retouched when localized to the North America and Europe version. This does not count the Male equivalent of the high elfcastanichuman, and aman due to their censored female equivalent.
  • The baraka priest seems to be the most famous form of media publication of baraka, revealing almost every official media related to the baraka being a priest.
  • The baraka's symbol is similar to the Eye of Horus, an Egyptian symbol, say for a few changes.
  • It can be immediately assumed that baraka are male: they have masculine voices and have facial 'hair'. However, according to the TERA short story Death at Forgeheart, the baraka have been confirmed as being genderless.[2]

Castanic



Official description


Castanics inspire more conflicting emotions than any other race in the federation. Clever and skilled, castanics are also opportunistic and hot-tempered. A castanic never forgets a friend and never abandons an ally. They're also notoriously quick-tempered and have a tendency to decapitate first and accept apologies second.
The castanic race is famous for the skill of its artisans and crafters. They are also adept merchants—cunning negotiators who love the interplay of bargaining, and strive to come out on top in every deal



The devas were children of Zuras. After she was sealed away by Titus in the war against the giants, Balder offered them to Lok, a fellow craftsman. He changed their name, and they served him until his fall. Since that time, the castanics have forged their own destiny, lived by their own dark code of honor, and carved out a place in history.
Betrayed into creating an artifact that caused the death of the beloved god Balder, most castanics have spurned the gods entirely, believing them not to be worth the trouble they cause, and that those who depend upon the gods are too cowardly to seize their own destiny. Some, however, seduced by Lakan's promises of power, have followed the evil god into Northern Arun, intent on reviving the ancient and bloody name: devas."



Already known as a fiery-tempered race, castanics have found an uneasy niche in the Valkyon Federation. Council decisions against their wishes frequently find castanic factions acting on their own. They take what they can, though they never steal, and they look out for each other.
Castanics in the Federation are willing to work together for the common good, but only so far as the common good doesn't take too long or come at too high a price. They’re perfectly willing and able to go their own way if necessary."



Castanica lies in a vale on the east coast of the continent of Arun. The dark heart of clan castanic crackles with energy. Their merchants can find anything—for the right price. Much like its thorny, dark architecture and its oft-misunderstood inhabitants, a harsh beauty lurks beneath the surface. Between the darkness and the light, the Shrouded Rose continues to glow, and the proud people of the city take their place on the world stage

Elin



  


"Innocent waifs on the outside, immortals spirits on the inside, imminent defeat to the other side."

The elins of Pora Elinu are one of the seven races in The Exiled Realm of Arborea.
Known for their feminine appearance with unique tail and ears feature with an addition of a jumpy attitude, the elins are not to be underestimated as their knowledge greatly surpasses that of an average person. The elins united themselves with the poporis in order to restore peace against everything that is harmful toward nature, and stop it.

The elins have one driving goal: if it’s not good for nature, stop it. Older and wiser than they appear, they join with forces of nature and mortal races to sweep their enemies from the battlefield. Their speech is often dark, forthright, and otherworldly, and their sense of humor can border on vicious. Other races find the elins' manner and behavior off-putting.

Building corporeal forms around tiny fragments of her own divine being, the goddess Elinu created the elins. Their physical appearance reflected the youngest daughter of Arun's naïve desire for beauty and peace. An elin queen governs both the elins and the poporis, with whom they share a history and a mission. The queen and her forces have proven their wisdom and diplomatic prowess in peace, and their tactical and fighting prowess in war."


Both the elins and poporis champion the cause of nature, but the bond between them is deeper than that. As a single nation they repair, protect, and preserve the world they live in and love above all else. The popori nation was among the first to join the federation. Recognizing the Argon Invasion to be a threat to all nature, the elin queen promptly rallied all of her forces, popori and elin, to the cause.

Pora Elinu is not a large city, being wholly contained inside the trunk of a single tree, but it holds a large place in the elins' hearts. Pora Elinu stands as a tribute to the goddess and a pledge to always pursue her goals. When the elin queen has to deal with matters of state, she and her court are found in Pora Elinu, but usually she leads her forces in combat on the argon front."

By far, elins are the most censored race of TERA reflected upon the original design of 
TERA Korea, the elins have greatly changed when they've been localized to United States and Europe due to politics.

High Elf




  




The Elves once lived lives dedicated to venerating nature and the gods. The "Children of Karas" maintained their forest homes in peace, but that changed when the conflicts of immortals destroyed their civilization and split a proud and powerful race into two factions. Now, only the "high elves" remain.
After three thousand years of conquest, a force of allied races dealt the mighty high elf armies a devastating loss. After this rebuke, the Elves withdrew from the world for a century of seclusion that only ended when the gates of Allemantheia opened to refugees fleeing the argon invasion. The world took notice when from those gates marched an army that fought for the lives of all mortal races.Though the blood of elven soldiers bought their seat at the Valkyon Federation table, many among other races do not trust the Elves' "New Way," believing the desert city's walls conceal many secrets, and that the Elves never gave up their conquering ways.



"A hundred years ago, the high elves invaded the human territory of Essenia. The amani, poporis, and baraka stood with the humans, and broke the elven offensive.
It had been three thousand years since the Elves had lost a war. This defeat reverberated through elven culture in a way thirty centuries of victories had not. They formed a new strategy: accommodate the changes sweeping through the world, and embrace the Valkyon Federation."



Today the other races view Elves with cautious optimism—within living memory they were at war with nearly everyone, yet their commitment to the federation is heartfelt and real. It is now the core of their very lives and their ancient culture. Each Elf is expected to represent the entire race in their new philosophy of forward, together and strong."



The elven city Allemantheia lies like a jeweled oasis at the center of the desert of southern Shara. Three soaring gates admit travelers to the public levels, where many stare open-mouthed at its gilded architecture. The elven natives keep mainly to the lower, private levels. To most eyes, there is no city more beautiful—even the human capital of Velika is plain by comparison."

The humans of Velika are one of the seven races in The Exiled Realm of Arborea.
Known for their indomitable spirit and strive for peace in Arborea, the humans took on themselves the goal of peace and civilization. In order to reach this goal, they've founded the Valkyon Federation. "Cursed by their god to wander without a homeland, humans turned their adversity to advantage by using their long exile as a learning experience. They studied the culture and crafts of other races, and forged their own destiny without guidance from their neglectful deity. Now, as creators of the Valkyon Federation, they are admired and respected by all the nations of the world for their role in bringing together the coalition that will defeat the argons and return the world to peace at last ;The god Gidd created the human race but turned his back on them when they petitioned him for a homeland. When the first humans conspired to steal Gidd's priceless treasures, he cursed them to wander forever. As the Divine War drew to a close, the curse on the humans lifted. Velik, goddess of the hunt, took pity on the humans and granted them the homeland they’d long been denied. Their capital today is the beautiful city of wheels she created with them."Humans today are at the forefront of a new military coalition and political movement—the Valkyon Federation. Joined with five other races eager to put the divisions of the past behind them, humans are the dreamers, the builders, the uniters that make this time different from all times that came before."

"The popori nation is made up of two distinct races. The elins—small female humanoids—were created by the goddess Elinu out of her own divine essence. The poporis are non-human beasts awakened to sentience by the elin. They are small, and accustomed to not being taken seriously. poporis are curious, candid, uncompromising, and utterly ferocious—resolute and tenacious defenders of nature. They are quick to learn, and quick to judge. Lose a popori’s respect and you may never get an opportunity to regain it.



The Amanic War created deep scars on the continent of Arun. Elinu—the youngest dream-daughter of the titan Arun—wept for her father’s pain and determined to protect him. From her own divine essence, she created the elins. When the task proved too much for the elin alone, they in turn awakened animals to create the poporis. Together, they have worked to repair, protect, and preserve the world they live in."



Recognizing the argons for the terrible threat they are to all of nature, the popori nation are willing and zealous allies of the Valkyon Federation. For as long as the federation’s aims and goals serve nature, Arun, and the memory of Elinu, the poporis will fight with the federation to protect the things they love above all else."



The popori capital is a city in an enormous tree that grows in the middle of a sacred lake near Elinu's final resting place. The lake lies deep in a softly glowing forest that is eternally lit by stars not seen in other realms, where Balder's eyes light up the sky. High arched bridges and a single entrance to the city demonstrate the popori’s natural talent for defense. Through a thousand years of world-wide conflict, the city has never fallen."

The emblem that once used to belong to both popori and elin.


  • In early development stages of TERA, elins once used to be called a female popori and be the same race. This was later changed and they were separated into two different races, hence their similarities of:


  • Popori, alongside of the baraka are the only two races that have completely been untouched by censoring. This does not count the Male equivalent of the high elf,castanichuman, and aman due to their censored Female equivalent.
